Pizza Inn, Inc. today announced new franchise development expansion into the country of Iceland in partnership with a local restaurant-operating group, HOLT EHF. The group will open their first three Pizza Inn restaurants in Reykjavik, Iceland's largest city, shortly. Key management and principals are currently completing their initial Pizza Inn training program in Dallas.

HOLT EHF specializes in hospitality management, and this initial development within Reykjavik paves the way for expected additional Pizza Inn growth plans within the country.

Jeff Rogers, Pizza Inn's Chief Executive Officer said, "This agreement represents our first expansion into this region, and we are impressed with the team that HOLT has put together. Reykjavik, being a tourist and economic hub, will help build Pizza Inn's brand awareness in that area of the world."

At August 3, 2000, there were 491 Pizza Inn locations (3 domestic company-owned, 413 domestic franchised and 75 international franchised) operating in 21 states and 15 international markets.
